Have your home professionally inspected by a structural engineer when you notice interior
 and exterior cracks, doors that don't close, trim separation and/or sloping floors.  These are

Foundation Inspectors will evaluate the structure's foundation by performing a level "B" investigation
 which includes a Relative Elevation Survey, a list of indications of possible foundation distress and recommendations.  You receive a written report and photos, signed and sealed by a Professional Engineer.
